Pregnant at the Rapture!

This Question may have been answered in one of the other blogs, if it was, I didn't see it.

Will pregnant women remain pregnant after the rapture?

If yes, why?

If no, why?

I've gone back and forth on this particular question, since I first heard it discussed in 1978 in the parking lot of Highway MBC standing beside Bill Baily's chevy truck.
Why do I remember this stuff????

Check out Mike's Blog under the post What about the Kiddoes? This issue was pretty well pulverized from all sides.

I am slightly leaning (not over the top with it) but slightly leaning towrds the answer of it depends.

It depends on if the mother/father is saved or not. If the child is being born into a family that is a "christian" family (by Christian I mean a saved family) then I think the baby would be raptured out with the mother...when she is taken. Proof texts would be the case of the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah...God protected the family of the righteous.

If the pregnancy is in a lost family then she would remain pregnant and give birth to the child. Proof text again would be the pregnant mothers duringthe flood or in Sodom and Gomorrah. When the judgment came, those babies in utero, infants toddlers etc all went to Heaven but still endured the judgment.

What do you think...like I said I am not head over heals, 100% in agreement but it does sort of make sense to me.

I only saw one reference to a child in the womb and it did not address the issue of whether the child would be take at the Rapture.
The context of all of the comments was in reference to children under the age of accountability or mentally handicapped individuals.
Bro. Richard made the comment, but it was not addressing this issue, but anyway, just thought I would ask!
Like I said in the original post, I have bounced back and forth on this particular question.

I think the saved women that are pregnant will go in the rapture and baby will, too. Unsaved pregnant mothers continue as if nothing has happened, still pregnant.
On a side issue, I was in Hezekiah's tunnel in 1981. What an awesome experience!

I can see the point of the aforementioned comments (whether a mother is saved or not determines whether or not she will actually bear the child)
BUT, Something else to think about....
we as Christians believe that life begins at the point of conception (in the womb). We consider a fetus as being "alive," yes?
Then tack on the scripture, "we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together..."
This line of thinking prompts me to allow for the possibility that ALL under the age of accountability will be raptured.
If those in the womb aren't alive, aren't most of our abortion arguments gone??
Perhaps I straddle the fence, but doesn't this discussion spotlight just how important salvation really is!

My thoughts...

1.) If the mother is saved, she will be raptured, as will the baby.

2.) If the mother is lost:

a.) One possibility is that the baby is raptured anyway, because it is a living being that is under the age of accountability.

b.) Let's say the baby is NOT raptured and the pregnancy continues. If we are all pre-tribbers here, then that means the baby would be born into the tribulation period. I believe that a baby born at the beginning of the tribulation probably will not survive to reach its age of accountability in the midst of the tribulation anyway and thus the end result is the same - the baby goes to Heaven when it dies.

Like all the rest of you, I have no proof to support a difinitive answer because there is no such proof in the Scripture but my best guess is that a baby in utero at the time of the rapture is raptured whether the mother is saved or not.

One of those questions we wonder about but one day we will have the answer, when we see Jesus

If all the Children in the womb and those under the age of accountability are taken in the rapture. If Pre-Trib is the way of the rapture then explain Matthew 24:19 "And woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!"

I'd be glad to Bro. Joe...the Lord is telling the women with children who will be left behind, in those days; of the horrors that await those who are left behind.

It further illustrates the point for those that are from lost families that they and their offspring will be left and not taken in the rapture...only those who are saved.

I'm with Brother Adrian on this. Rapture at end of tribulation (before wrath or no, I know not) is a single rapture for all who've not rejected Christ throughout all the ages. This includes all young ones (those in the womb) who've not rejected Christ b/c they've not been old enough to face that choice to reject.

So, all dead in Christ rise to meet Jesus during his descent to earth having their judgment in an instant or during a time span (up to you) 1 Thessalonians 4:16, he brings those who were dead in Christ with Him on his continued descent (1 Thessalonians 4:14) and then which are alive and remain including all in the book of life, those who have not rejected Christ (children, mentally retarded, children in the womb) all are raptured and taken to be with Jesus having their judgment in an instant or during a timespan. Christ continuing down brings all saints with him to judge the lost who've gathered together to fight alongside the antichrist and Jesus destroys them all alongside the antichrist(2 Thessalonians 2:8).

All the rest of the lost people who didn't gather for that war enter into the millennial reign, the saved rule and reign with Christ (Revelation 20) and the lost who rejected Jesus throughout the tribulation have already been given their last chance when they took the mark of the beast, no longer given a chance to accept Christ when they see Him coming (they had 7 years to do that) 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12. The lost nations come to Jerusalem to bring worship because Jesus rules with a rod of iron, yet some still refuse and Jesus sends them plagues and droughts b/c of their disobedience (Zechariah 12-14). After 1,000 years, the lost of all time have their Great White Throne judgment and are sent to the eternal lake of fire. The saints from all time enter the New Earth forever.

Yes. Because The Arch Bishop said so!

Exodus 32:33, Revelation 3:5, Psalm 69:28 all lead me to believe that all man are written in the book of life originally, but when they sin against God or reject Christ, they're blotted out. Babies in the womb of any woman, whether saved or not, are alive and in the book of life. Though sinners by nature, they've not yet commited a sin themselves or more significantly to this argument, rejected Christ. In conclusion, they've not been blotted out of the book of life and will thusly be taken up with the others alive in Christ at the time of the rapture. I've never looked so closely at this issue or the issue of whether we're written in the Book of life automatically before, so I didn't spend a lot of time studying it. However, I wanted to put this out there for others to ponder, critique, and rebuke in kindness as necessary. Even without this argument, I'm convinced by other arguments, most already mentioned in other comments, that yes, inutero babies will be raptured.

Reading through these comments and views what happens to the children who were conceived right after the rapture and are pressured by the direct influence of their parents or guardian to take the mark of the beast because although they are not of against of accountability? Such children should be of the age of about 6 assuming to survive the tribulation.

That's talking about the great tribulation the 2nd half of three and a half years after the abomination of desolation and that's mainly talking about Israel

We each have to give account for ourselves it's not true that if you're saved but your parents are not that you will be left behind it's about each one of us in our own individual relationship with Jesus our individual believe in his death burial and Resurrection
